Grand Prize Winner 2020

Congratulations to our Christmas Traditions Contest $75 Grand Prize Winner: Aubrie Burns

My husband Michael and I have grown up in families that believed in artificial trees. So going to pick out a tree wasn’t really a huge part of our childhood so this is new for us! However, last year (2018) was one of the most difficult Christmas seasons we have ever experienced as a family. I suffered a stroke at the age of 31 and was between the hospital or ER for much of the Christmas season. Our 13 month old son really missed out on the magic of Christmas. This year (2019) after having a good recovery we vowed to give our son the best Christmas we could! We knew we wanted to begin the tradition of picking out our own Christmas tree. So we traveled from Portage to the M-40 location. We had the most wonderful experience hunting for just the right tree and our son looking at all the trees big and small. His eyes lit up with such a beautiful tree in our home. We are beyond thankful for the great experience and Wahmhoff Farms for helping us create a wonderful new tradition and the magic of Christmas to our home!

Runner Up 2020

$50 Runner-Up: The Tomsa Family

Our family has been visiting Wahmhoff’s Farm in Gobles since our first visit in December of 2010. Our family tradition continues every year as we take various types of transportation out to have a view of the tree selections. Our children rotate each year as they find the “just right” tree. We have 5 children and they are always excited to see the tree their sibling picks out. We have visited the farm in various kinds of weather and we always rent a hand saw. Everyone gets a turn to cut the tree each year. This year we will miss our older 2 children at the farm as one is in college and the other lives up north. We love the atmosphere at the farm and we are thankful to have found Wahmhoff’s.
