Grand Prize Winner 2018

Congratulations to our Christmas Traditions Contest $75 Grand Prize Winner: LAURA WILSON, Vicksburg MI

contest winnerbaby treeLast year, we moved in with my parents while we were in the process of buying a new home and selling our old house. As tradition stands, we still made the trip to Wahmhoff Tree Farms (in Gobles) to help my parents select the perfect tree.

Christmas is a BIG deal to my husband and I. We were happy to be apart of selecting my parents tree, but sad that we would not have our own family tree to decorate and enjoy throughout the season. We were primarily living in the basement of my parents house and it was crammed! My husband suggested that we still get a tree – it would just need to be smaller than we normally get. We cut down the cutest little tree, decorated it with some big, bright colored bulbs, and some of our favorite family ornaments! We found the perfect little corner spot in the basement for our baby tree and loved the sense of Christmas it gave us in our unusual location last year. Thank you for helping provide us with a wonderful Christmas memory – we will always be grateful for our baby tree! We are SO excited to head out to Wahmhoff Farms Thanksgiving weekend to get a HUGE tree for our new house! More great memories to be had!!! Here is the picture of my husband with our baby tree. I also included our family pic out at the Gobles Farm. Sincerely, Laura Wilson.

Runner Up 2018

$50 Runner-Up: Elizabeth Georges, Chicago, IL

runner upThis year after visiting family in Michigan we stopped at Wahmhoff Farms and Nursery (in Gobles, MI) to cut down a tree. This was our first year with our 3 and 5 year olds visiting a farm to cut down our own tree.

We loved every minute, including watching the tree’s shadow as we drove it home to Chicago. Once inside, the 12 foot tree filled our house with a beautiful scent, and brought us the Christmas magic. It is our first year in our “forever home”, and we are happy to have started our new Christmas tradition – a tree from Wahmhoff Farms.
