SOIL MOIST Root Dip comes as a powder, mixes with water to make “SLOP”, a gel to dip seedling/transplant roots into prior to planting. It keeps roots moist until planted, then draws moisture back to the roots at dry times. It is a safe, non-toxic polymer that when used according to the application rates, can reduce irrigation frequency by 50% and also reduces transplanting shock. We wouldn’t plant or transplant without it! We mix the Root Dip Fines powder in with water in a 5 gallon bucket and let the product stand for several minutes to thicken. One pound will treat 5-7000 seedlings or 2-3000 transplants.
