2020 Trees for Troops Loading Event Recap:
Nearly 400 real Christmas trees were loaded onto two FedEx trailers by over 50 volunteers and 14 Wahmhoff Farms employees on Monday, November 30th. The Christmas trees loaded at our farm this year were donated by area farmers including Armintrout’s of West Michigan, Badger Evergreen Nursery, and Peterson’s Riverview Nursery, all from Allegan, and Wahmhoff Farms, as well as trees donated by Bayer Crop Science and many people from the community who wanted to share in giving the gift of a real Christmas tree this holiday season. The trees loaded at our farm shipped to the following bases this year:
” Ft. Campbell in KY
” Ft. Rucker in AL
” Ellsworth AFB in SD
” Coast Guard Station Grand Isle, LA
“I wanted to say THANK YOU very much for your Christmas tree donations to all the service members. I was lucky enough to receive one of your donations and it takes me back to when I was a young high school student whose job was to trim Christmas trees in the summertime in Pa. We do not have these trees down here and just having this variety of tree brings back a flood of memories. We can not say thanks enough! I personally truly appreciate your kindness.” -Joe H, AL, U.S. Army, 2020

“What a wonderful, inspiring year. Thank you to all the farms, retail lots and other supporters that provided all the trees. Final numbers for 2020: 16,073 total trees, picked up from 57 locations and delivered to 79 total bases. This makes 262,265 total trees through 16 years! Thanks to all of you, we still managed to bring Christmas Spirit to more than 16,000 families in our military in a very difficult year.”
